Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night mocked President-elect Donald Trump’s picks for his administration ― including one who’s already dropped out: Former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who abandoned his bid for attorney general last week and joined Cameo.
“Last week, he was a congressman, nominated for attorney general,” Kimmel said. “This week, he’s begging for money on the same website as the lady from ‘Chimp Crazy’ and the Rizzler.”
Gaetz resigned from Congress after Trump tapped him for AG, but withdrew amid a growing scandal involving allegations of drugs, sex with a minor and a massive web of Venmo payments.
“This is the circle of disgraced politician life now: Congress, Cameo, next thing you know, you’re a banana on ‘The Masked Singer,’” Kimmel said. “Let’s hope Matt’s Cameo goes better than his Venmo went.”
